Schneider Likely to Get Another Rematch With Dold
Presidential election could help put the Deerfield Democrat back in office.

Former 10th Congressional District Rep. Brad Schneider, a Democrat from Deerfield, will likely have another rematch with Republican Bob Dold in 2016.
The Chicago Sun-Times’ Lynn Sweet reports Schneider has “all but decided” to run again. Dold, who has no known opponent in the GOP primary, has defeated Schneider in the 2014 general race while losing to him in 2012, the last presidential year. That could give the edge to Schneider in 2016 as Democrats have historically seen an edge due to higher voter turnout in those years.
Schneider could have a primary battle against Highland Park Mayor Nancy Rotering, who Sweet says is considering a run.
