Substance abuse and its effect on our community will be discussed at a meeting of the Deerfield Area Branch of AAUW (American Association of University Women) on Tuesday, October 14. Karen Fretzin will speak about the causes and problems of addiction and the success that treatment can bring. Ms. Fretzin is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor with more than 20 years of clinical experience. She works with adults and families, with a special focus on teens.
