The new center, designed by Event Creative, is an extension of downtown Chicago's Venue One, and it's being touted as the first modular event center, allowing it to be customized depending on what it's hosting. Along with celebrations and other private functions, developers hope to draw corporate outings from some of the big businesses with nearby headquarters, such as Walgreens, Discover, Kraft Foods, Allstate and others.
