The Pakistani American Association of Naperville held a memorable Eid Milan event in the Naperville

A historic Eid event organized by the Pakistani American Association of Naperville emphasized professional success, community cohesion, and the development of connections between Pakistani immigrants and their American homeland. Ahsan Faiz and his team formed the Pakistani American Association of Naperville Ahsan Faiz is the president of the Pakistani American Association of Naperville (also known as the Pakistani Association of Aurora and Naperville), an organization that promotes community service and cultural integration for Pakistani Americans living in the western suburbs of Chicago.

Kashif Adeel served as the event’s moderator. The event was attended by more than 200 people from all walks of life.

Yasmin Muzaffar, an advisor to the association, described the organization’s mission to unite the community across race and religion, offering a platform to promote local concerns and solidarity. To reach as many people as possible in the greater Chicago area, the organization is also organizing a membership drive in a few days.

Consul General of Pakistan and guest of honor, Mr. Zaman Mehdi, discussed his goals for the immigrant community. He highlighted the role of Pakistani Americans who serve as “bridges” between the two countries and praised their achievements as citizens and professionals.

Malik Mujahid, a renowned Islamic scholar and founder of Sound Vision and Muslim TV Net Worth, spoke on the importance of human rights advocacy, the power of the media, and the need for peaceful participation in international affairs.

The guest of honor was Mr. John Leash, who has served as Mayor of Aurora since last year.

The Mayor recognized the importance of the community and thanked everyone for attending the event.

He thanked the Muslim community and especially others for their tireless efforts to end the Palestinian issue and promote justice in the Middle East.

The Mayor drew attention to the community’s growing political activity, citing Saba Haider’s campaign to become the second Muslim woman to run for the Illinois State General Assembly.

He emphasized the pursuit of justice and peace and urged attendees to stay engaged, maintain political pressure, and engage with elected officials.

He was presented with a Sindhi topi and Ajrak by Pakistan’s Consul General, Mr. Zaman Mehdi.

At the end of the event, delicious food was served by a renowned restaurant.

A few local singers performed Pakistani national songs.
