2 Car Burglaries Reported In Downers Grove
Wallets and a purse were stolen during the burglaries, police say.

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Downers Grove police are investigating a pair of car burglaries that took place Aug. 12 and Aug. 13.
Car burglary in the 4800 block of Woodward Avenue
A resident told police their unlocked car was burglarized sometime between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Aug. 13. A purse was stolen, along with wallet that contained credit and debit cards and $400 cash.

Car burglary in the 4600 block of Sterling Road
Police say a car was burglarized sometime between midnight and 6 a.m. on Aug. 12. A wallet was stolen from the car and later found on Douglas Road and returned to the owner. Police say $70 cash was missing from the wallet.

These incidents are the most recent in a string of burglaries in the village. On Aug. 7, three cars were burglarized and one was stolen.
