• Events To Show LGBTQ+ Support During Pride Month In Downers Grove (patch.com) — Downers Grove residents can celebrate Pride Month close to home with DG PrideFest at Fishel Park on June 6, a village Pride Month proclamation on June 2, and a teen-focused After Hours Pride Party at the public library on June 12. The roundup also highlights nearby suburban celebrations and major Pride events nationwide, offering locals many ways to support LGBTQ+ neighbors.    

• Ranalli's Plans To Open 1st Suburban Location This Fall (patch.com) — Downers Grove diners will get a new pizza option this fall when longtime Chicago favorite Ranalli’s opens its first suburban location at 5200 Main Street, in the former Emmett’s Brewing Company space. The restaurant will bring tavern-style thin crust, pan pizzas, specialty pies, and vegetarian and gluten-free choices, expanding the Four Corners Group’s presence beyond the city.    

• Mila Mardjetko's 15-strikeout gem leads Lemont to sectional title: Friday's Suburban Life sports roundup (shawlocal.com) — Downers Grove athletes are making noise at state, with North’s Mac LaForge qualifying in discus and both North and South advancing relay teams after strong 4x800 performances. A busy Friday also saw Lemont softball and soccer teams capture sectional titles, standout track times from several area schools, and deep state runs in boys tennis and lacrosse across the western suburbs.
