
American Wind Band presents Nature, a free Pops Concert on the Lawn on Sunday, June 7, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. on the west side of the American Legion Post 80, 4000 Saratoga Avenue, Downers Grove, IL. Please bring a lawn chair or blanket, umbrella for shade, sunscreen and bug spray. Kindly leave pets at home. In case of inclement weather, the concert will be held in the Legion Hall.Our directors have chosen a wonderful variety of music that includes Scenes from the Sierras, American Landscape #1, Of Gale Force Winds, Softly as in a Morning Sunrise, Edelweiss, Summer Skies and a few patriotic songs.
American Wind Band is based in Downers Grove and promotes the understanding and appreciation of concert band literature through performance for the enjoyment of all in attendance. Many thanks to the American Legion Post 80 for hosting our concert.

The band will resume rehearsals on the Tuesday, following Labor Day at 7:30 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Downers Grove, 1032 Maple Avenue, Downers Grove, IL 60515. New members are always welcome and auditions are not required.
