Car Stolen At Home Depot, Car Burglarized At Cooper's Hawk: Cops

Downers Grove police say a car was stolen from the Home Depot and a car was burglarized at Cooper's Hawk.

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — A car was stolen from the Home Depot parking lot and a car was burglarized in the Cooper's Hawk parking lot, according to a recent Downers Grove police blotter.

Car Burglarized at Cooper's Hawk

Police were called to Cooper's Hawk, 1801 Butterfield Rd. just after 8 p.m. on Oct. 19 for a report of a car burglary. The victim told police they were eating dinner in the restaurant and came out to find their driver's side window had been shattered. A Swiss Army backpack and a Apple Air Mac laptop were reported stolen. The total loss was valued at $1,060.

Car Stolen at Home Depot

A man told police he parked his car in the center aisle of the parking lot at Home Depot, 2000 Butterfield Rd., around 10:40 a.m. and went into the store to shop. After 20 minutes, he returned to the parking lot to discover his car had been stolen.
