Cops Find Man Wanted In Connection With Arson In Downers Grove

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Police in Downers Grove say they have located a man who may be linked to what they are calling a "suspicious house fire" that broke out Friday morning. Robert Clauser, 52, was in custody as of Sunday morning, according to an update on the Village of Downers Grove Facebook page.

Police say Clauser was last seen leaving the scene of the fire in the 1700 block of Virginia Avenue before he went missing early Friday. His disappearance after the fire led District 58 schools and Downers Grove North High School to be placed on a temporary lockdown.

According to police, the incident is still under investigation.
