Downers Grove Boy Places Third at State Free-Throw Contest

Downers Grove resident Blake H. showed he has hops at a recent state-wide free throw basketball contest.

Blake was competing in the Knights of Columbus Free-Throw Contest, which is held at various Catholic parishes around the state. After winning in his age group at the local level, district level and regional level, he headed to Springfield on April 8, 2017 to compete against other nine year olds. At the state level, he took third place, hitting 20 of 25 free throws.

Blake is a third grade student at St. Mary of Gostyn School in Downers Grove.
