Downers Grove North Teacher Accused Of Sexual Misconduct: Report
A Downers Grove North teacher is currently under investigation for sexual misconduct.

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — A teacher at Downers Grove North High School is on administrative leave as police investigate accusations of sexual misconduct. Former students have come forward to accuse the teacher of sexual harassment and relationships of a sexual nature with students.
Downers Grove Deputy Police Chief Billy Budds told Patch Tuesday that the department is "in the early stages of an investigation regarding a District 99 employee and no charges have been filed at this time." Since the investigation is ongoing, Budds could provide no further information.
A former student told WGN that she had been a victim of sexual harassment by the accused teacher when she was a student at Downers Grove North in the late 1990s. Jennifer Boudinot, who graduated from the school in 1999 told WGN that several former students responded to a Facebook post she wrote about "what went on with teachers and students at DGN."

According to WGN, Boudinot said that "she received several messages from women and said not only did the teacher sexually harass them, but he assaulted them too."
Boudinot is encouraging victims to email her at DGNnightwatchwomen@gmail.com with any similar incidents.

Downers Grove School District 99 Superintendent Dr. Hank Thiele sent an email to students, families, and staff addressing the "potentially inappropriate behavior on the part of a current teacher at North High." The email added that District 99 is "unable to comment publicly on any personnel matters."
The email asks anyone with information to contact Downers Grove Police Department at 630-434-5500.
The district has urged victims of sexual harassment or assault to complete an anonymous Uniform Grievance Procedure Incident report.
