MRSA: Debridement & Treatment of Wounds and Infections

Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) infection is caused by a strain of staph bacteria that has become resistant to the antibiotics commonly used to treat ordinary staph infections. Typically MRSA infections appear on the skin however, MRSA may also affect your bloodstream, lungs, heart, bones, arteries, veins and joints.

Wound debridement is a procedure that takes unhealthy or damaged tissue away from a non-healing wound to improve the course of healing process.
