Church collecting food with their annual July 4th Parade precision shopping cart drill team
The Downers Grove July 4th parade is one of the highlights of the year for the community. And again this year there’s a way to help folks out with a food drive during the parade! Once again, St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Downers Grove will be marching with their “Precision Shopping Cart Drill Team” and collecting food for the FISH food pantry along the way. This year they are teaming up with First Congregational UCC in Downers Grove to collect food and monetary donations.
Parade attendees can bring along a few items of nonperishable food and as the shopping cart drill team passes by they’ll pick up the food. We will also accept cash donations that will go directly to FISH Pantry. Thank you for your support of programs that feed the hungry in our community!
