The Grove Foundation's 25th Annual Golf Outing Was A Great Success
The Grove Foundation annual outing was held on September 9th at the Downers Grove Park District Golf Course

The Grove Foundation held its 25th Annual Golf Outing and Fundraiser on Saturday, September 9th, at the historic Downers Grove Park District Golf Course, which is celebrating its 125th anniversary. This event is the major fundraiser for the Grove Foundation, a small not-for-profit organization that supports community programs promoting educational, recreational and community experiences. A total number of 91 golfers and guests participated in the outing, which included a 9-hole scramble, golf contests, prizes and dinner. The golf prize winners were: Low Medal Champions – Uli Lohrman, Bruce Packard and Stephen Roth; Low Medal Runner-up – Matt Neustadt, Bryan Kunze and Mike Kunze; Jim & Judy Russ Putting Contest Champions – Brian Riley, Dave Artl and Mike Casella; Score Prediction Winners – Josh Walker, Will Wicklander, Brian Heitrich and Jim Mihalik; Low Net Champions – Karen Laio, Pete Laio, Adrienne Colvert and Barry Graham; Low Net Runner-up – Jon Sandine, Linda Vaznonis, Brian Pfalzgraf, Forest Andrews and Roger Genshoreck; Longest Drive Winners – Cindy Pfalzgraf & Tom Olms; Closest to the Pin Winners – Kay Schmanski & Uli Lohrman: Chipping Contest Winner – Uli Lohrman. The Chipping contest was sponsored by Downers Grove Economic Development Corporation – Michael Cassa. The Grove Foundation would like to thank the golfers, Downers Grove Park District golf course staff, community donors/sponsors and special guests. Our 2018 26th Annual Golf Outing & Fundraiser will be held next year on September 8th.
