J.R. Ewing Bourbon Brings 'Dallas' Stars To Downers Grove
Patrick Duffy and Linda Gray will visit Binny's at 2020 Butterfield Rd. for J.R. Ewing Private Reserve Bourbon promotion.

DOWNERS GROVE, IL ā It's an event that might have even have made the notorious J.R. Ewing proud. Patrick Duffy and Linda Gray from the TV series "Dallas" will visit Binny's in Downers Grove on Thursday, Nov. 16, to promote J.R. Ewing Private Reserve Bourbon Whiskey, sign bottles, and snap pics with fans.
On the website for J.R. Ewing's Private Reserve Bourbon Whiskey says it's named for "the most notorious and celebrated bourbon drinker in history," adding that J.R. Ewing's thirst for greatness is distilled into every bottle." The whiskey, which, of course, is bottled in Dallas, is touted as "the utmost in quality, taste, and beauty."
Whiskey aficionados will likely notice a zest of sweet orange underscoring strong tones of vanilla and oak as they sip on a glass.

Patrick Duffy played J.R. Ewing's brother, Bobby and Linda Gray played J.R.'s wife, Sue Ellen, in the series, which ran from 1978 to 1991 on CBS. Larry Hagman, who played the iconic oil tycoon, died in 2012 of throat cancer.
