Kids Winter Break Camp Options Offered By Downers Grove Park District

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Kids can get rid of cabin fever this December by participating in two winter break camps offered by the Downers Grove Park District.

Its Winter Break Adventure Camp spans three days from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and includes sports, group games, crafts and field trips. The cost is $200 for residents and $230 for nonresidents for week one (Dec. 19-22) and $150 for residents and $180 for nonresidents for week two (Dec. 27-29). The park district is also offering a half-day Winter Break Nature Camp that will be held in class sessions available in the following time slots:

• Mondays and Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
• Mondays and Wednesdays from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
• Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
• Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Geared toward children from kindergarten through sixth grade, this camp will include winter tracking and wildlife spotting in Lyman Woods, along with games and crafts.
