Metra Replacing Concrete on Downers Grove Station Platforms
Access to the platform from Washington Street will be restricted.

Construction on the Downers Grove Main Street Station is expected to last three months as concrete is replaced on the east ends of the station’s inbound and outbound platforms.
The east ends of the inbound and outbound boarding platforms will be closed to commuters through the construction period, according to a Metra news release.
Access to the platform from Washington Street is restricted and the west side of the Washington Street crossing is closed to pedestrians.

Both at-grade crossings near the station (Main Street and Washington Street) will remain open.
Some commuter parking at Downers Grove Main Street is temporarily unavailable for the staging of material and equipment.

The construction is part of a $1.1 million project. Village communications director Doug Kozlowski told mySuburbanLife the project completion date is estimated for July 3.
The village plans to provide project updates through its website.
