Benedictine University and St. Procopius Abbey invite the public to attend the "Advent at the Abbey" from 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 10.
Sponsored by St. Procopius Abbey and the Department of History, Philosophy and Religious Studies, speakers will include Fr. Becket Franks, O.S.B., of St. Procopius Abbey and Christine Fletcher, Ph.D., associate professor in the Department of Theology and Religious Studies at Benedictine University.
The theme of the day is based on Psalm 80 and the belief that divine presence is everywhere and the eyes of the Lord gaze everywhere on the good and the bad. Advent is a time where followers of the Catholic faith become introspective and prepare for the nativity of Jesus Christ.
