See Cinderella Live at Downers Grove South Performance

Kids can see a real-life princess make magic at Downers Grove South when the theater department presents famous rollicking musical.

Join Downers Grove South High School for a classic fairytale! DGS Dramapresents the 2017 Spring Musical, Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella on Thursday, April 27 through Saturday, April 29 at 7 p.m.and Sunday, April 30 at 2 p.m. in the DGS Auditorium. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for senior citizens and non-DGS students, and free for D99 students with their student ID. Tickets may be purchased at the door or by calling 630-795-8518.

Synopsis:

Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella is a musical, with music by Richard Rodgers and a book and lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II. It is based upon the fairy tale Cinderella, particularly the French version, Cendrillon, ou la Petite Pantoufle de Verre, by Charles Perrault. The story concerns a young woman forced into a life of servitude by her cruel stepmother and self-centered stepsisters, who dreams of a better life. With the help of her Fairy Godmother, Cinderella is transformed into a Princess and finds her Prince.
