Fire Breaks Out At BP Gas Station In Downers Grove
The fire started right around rush hour, snarling traffic on Main Street near Ogden Avenue.

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — A fire that broke out at a BP gas station in Downers Grove snarled traffic on Main Street right as rush hour was starting. Marsha Giesler, the fire department's public information officer, said the incident at 4314 Main St. "turned out to be a small fire."
Downers Grove officials issued a warning to motorists around 4 p.m. to avoid Main Street in the area south of Ogden Avenue. A Tweet stated that the traffic was caused by "fire department activity" nearby.
At around 5 p.m., emergency crews were released from the scene and normal traffic was resumed.
