Woman with Crohn's Disease Sues Businesses for Denying Restroom Access
The lawsuit alleges the woman wasn't allowed to use restrooms in an Oak Brook Anthropologie or a South Loop Walgreens.

A woman is suing over claims that employees at an Oak Brook Anthropologie and a South Loop Walgreens wouldn’t let her use their bathrooms, even though she had Medical Alert Restroom Access Card.
The woman, who has Crohn’s disease, filed a lawsuit in Cook County Circuit Court against the two businesses for the separate incidents, one in Aug. 2013 and one in March 2014, according to NBC Chicago.
Under the Restroom Access Act, a retail business with an employee restroom must allow customers with an eligible medical condition, such as Crohn’s disease, to use the restroom, according to the Illinois General Assembly.
