Ambulance Driver Had Cocaine In System During Crash That Killed 3
The driver, a patient and another EMT were killed in the March 31 crash.

BELLWOOD, IL — In March, the driver of an ambulance was involved in a crash that killed three people, including himself. Now, ABC7 reported that the ambulance driver, James Wesley, had cocaine in his bloodstream.
The ABC7 I-Team filed a FOIA request which revealed toxicology testing that showed Wesley had cocaine in his system.
The fatal crash occurred on March 31. Three people: Wesley, 51, of Chicago; Larry Marshall, 48, of Bellwood; and Prentis Williams, 50, of Chicago, all died in the crash. Marshall was a patient being transported by the ambulance; while Williams was another EMT in the ambulance.

ABC7 reported that two lawsuits have been filed in Cook County on behalf of Williams and Marshall.
Wesley also had a record of felony convictions, according to ABC7. He should not have legally been driving the ambulance on the day of the crash.
