Berwyn Man Killed In Elmhurst Crash Between Car, Motorcycle

ELMHURST, IL — A Berwyn man was killed in a traffic crash on Monday night in Elmhurst. Police responded at 9:10 p.m. Monday at North Avenue and Berteau Street for a motor vehicle vs. motorcycle collision, DuPage County said.

The county said when officers arrived, the driver of the motorcycle was observed to have suffered massive head trauma and was transported to Elmhurst Hospital. He was pronounced dead at 9:47 p.m. The DuPage County Coroner's Office has identified the man as Ivanny Mendez-Perez, 28, of Berwyn.

Elmhurst Police said the other driver, who was driving a sport utility vehicle, stopped after the collision and remained at the scene.

An examination is being performed today by the coroner's office.No charges have been filed, and the crash is under active investigation, police said.
