Danica Patrick Leads Edward-Elmhurst Healthcare Initiative

Patrick will donate $1 to help fight childhood obesity in the Edward-Elmhurst Healthcare service area for each challenge taken online.

Edward-Elmhurst Healthcare has made race car driver Danica Patrick the spokesperson for its Healthy Driven initiative, which challenges people to take charge of their health.

Patrick’s image is bound to show up around Elmhurst as the healthcare company mobilizes a “marketing blitz that includes TV and radio commercials, full-page newspaper and magazine ads, billboards, and a presence at public transportation centers and on public transportation vehicles,” according to an Edwards-Elmhurst news release.

The Danica Patrick Healthy Driven Challenge on HealthyDriven.com guides users through nutritional, physical and emotional challenges.

Patrick, who grew up in Roscoe, IL, will donate $1 to help fight childhood obesity in the Edward-Elmhurst Healthcare service area for each Healthy Driven challenge taken online, up to $10,000, according to the news release.

This campaign is coming more than a year since the merger of Edward, Linden Oaks and Elmhurst Hospitals.

“Now, with a solid foundation beneath us, we’re re-introducing ourselves as Edward-Elmhurst Healthcare in a new and exciting way with a new brand position, Healthy Driven,” said Pam Davis, System CEO, Edward-Elmhurst Healthcare, in the news releae. “We want to inspire our patients and community.”
