District 205, IC Catholic Closed Due To Snow
Several area schools and districts have called off school on Monday, including those in Elmhurst.

ELMHURST, IL — With several inches of snow falling overnight, many area schools have closed Monday, including those in Elmhurst. Area schools closed on Monday, Jan. 28 include:
- District 205 (Hawthorne, Jackson, Jefferson, Lincoln, Madison Early Childhood Center, Sandburg, Bryan, Churchville, Conrad Fischer, Edison, Emerson, York)
- IC Catholic Prep
- Immaculate Conception Grade School
- Immanuel Lutheran School
- Mary Queen of Heaven Preschool
- Timothy Christian schools
- Visitation Catholic School
Elmhurst College also announced it would be opening late at 12 p.m.
The NWS said the snow could impact the Monday morning commute, and could make travel very difficult. Generally, the farther north you live, the more snow you'll receive, with most of the Chicago suburbs falling in the 4 to 7 inch or 3 to 5 inch range.
