Leyden High School District 212 celebrates Homecoming 2018 the week of September 24

Leyden High School 212 is celebrating Homecoming 2018 beginning with the much anticipated pep rally scheduled for Thursday, September 27, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., in the field house at West Leyden, 1000 N. Wolf Rd., Northlake. The varsity homecoming game against Addison Trail will be held on Friday, September 28, at 7:30 p.m. on the football field at the West campus.

The public is invited to attend both of these events.

Homecoming festivities also include the Wall of Fame luncheon and induction ceremony. This event honors alumni who are outstanding achievers in their given professions. The honorees for this year are Brian Fruits and Laura Porro.

Fruits, Class of 1998, is a professor at Concordia University and a member of the fine arts community working as a director of musicals and plays; and president of the board at the Saltbox Theatre Collective in Chicago. Porro, Class of 1999, is an associate professor at UCL, University College London, in the United Kingdom. She also is a senior research associate in the School of Earth Sciences at the University of Bristol in the UK.

The annual homecoming dance will be held on Saturday, September 29.

The homecoming game features the Leyden Eagles vs. the Addison Trail Blazers on Friday, September 28 at 7:30 p.m. on the football field at the West campus.
