A total of 550 District 212 students passed college-level Advanced Placement courses and exams in subjects such as art, English, math, social studies, science, modern language, and computers. This achievement allows colleges and universities to grant these students college credit, or skip the equivalent course once they get to college.

A student’s AP score shows how well he or she did on the AP Exam. It's also a measure of the student’s achievement in the college-level AP course. This score is a weighted combination of test scores on the multiple-choice section and on the free-response section. The final score is reported on a 5-point scale with 5 being the highest possible score.
