Elmhurst Fire Dept. earns Elmhurst Hospital EMS Run of the Month
Crew members were recognized for their care on Sept. 4 of Tim McMahan, a 59-year-old resident of Elmhurst who had gone into cardiac arrest.

Elmhurst Hospital’s Emergency Medical Services (EMS) has awarded its “Run of the Month” for Sept.-Oct. 2018 to the Elmhurst Fire Dept. (EFD), Station 2.
Crew members Gina Knight, Mark Millett, Christopher Placzek, Steven Reynolds, John Strykowski and Steve Talaski were recognized for their care on Sept. 4 of Tim McMahan, a 59-year-old resident of Elmhurst who had gone into cardiac arrest. McMahan was transported to Elmhurst Hospital’s Emergency Department (ED) for further treatment. He was released from Elmhurst Hospital about three weeks later.
In the “Run of the Month” program, Elmhurst Hospital’s EMS Team reviews ambulance runs by pre-hospital providers and selects one to be recognized based on the following criteria:
