EMH Foundation’s Reindeer Route Housewalk Friday, Dec. 6
The Housewalk features five Elmhurst homes decorated for the holidays by local florists.

The Elmhurst Memorial Hospital (EMH) Foundation will host its 43rd Annual Reindeer Route Housewalk on Friday, Dec. 6.
A portion of proceeds from the 2019 Reindeer Route Housewalk will benefit the Teen Volunteer Health Profession Scholarship fund, which also includes the Marilyn A. Graber Teen Scholarship. The scholarships are for EMH teen volunteers interested in pursuing a career in healthcare.
The Housewalk, with two sessions – 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. and 6 – 9 p.m. – features five Elmhurst homes decorated for the holidays by local florists:

- 336 W. Eggleston Ave., Phillip's Flowers
- 179 S. Kenilworth Ave., Carousel Flowers/Shamrock Garden Florist
- 142 S. Kenmore Ave., The Uptown Shop and Blossoms of Lombard
Tickets are $30 in advance and can be purchased through 3 p.m. on Dec. 5 at www.emhfoundation.org/events or the following Elmhurst locations:

- The Wild Rose Floral & Gift Shop at Elmhurst Hospital
On the day of the Housewalk, tickets will be available for $40 at Guaranteed Rate, 115 W. Adelaide St. in Elmhurst from 9 a.m. – 8 p.m. Tickets will not be available for purchase at the featured homes on the day of the event.

The EMH Foundation is also seeking donations (to be dropped off at Housewalk homes) to support the Healing Arts and Family Support Program developed by the Planetree Caring and Healing Environment committee at Elmhurst Hospital. This program provides each main inpatient family room at the hospital and the Nancy W. Knowles Cancer Center waiting rooms with a variety of art and recreation materials to help patients and family members decrease stress with healing activities and distractions of art supplies, books and small games.
Supplies needed include children’s coloring books, adult coloring books, crayons (packs of 4 or 8), coloring pencils (packs of 4 or 8), playing cards (regular cards, Crazy Eights, picture match and other similar games), adult and children’s books, crossword puzzles, word searches, Sudoku and activity books.
