IC Catholic Prep Math Team Heads To State For 6th Straight Year

ELMHURST, IL - The IC Catholic Prep math team has qualified for the Illinois Council of Teachers of Mathematics' state meet for the sixth year in a row. The school will send 32 mathletes down to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign on Saturday, May 4.

The team advanced to the state round yet again after a February regional in which they finished in third place. Highlights included Carl Knable, who tied for fifth place in the Geometry Individual competition, and Harry Zhang, who tied for fifth place in Pre-Calc individual. The oral team of Kevin Cooke and Robbie Calles placed first.
