This year’s annual Empty Bowls fundraiser will be held on Thursday, February 27, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., in the student cafeteria at West Leyden High School, 1000 N. Wolf Road, Northlake.

Sponsored by the West Leyden Clay Club, the event features handcrafted bowls created by students, teachers and club members. Those who participate will get a generous portion of “all you can eat” bread and soup served in a ceramic bowl of their choice for $15. For soup only, the cost is $5 in a disposable bowl.

Soups on tap that day are chicken enchilada, chili, French onion, potato bacon, chicken and Matzo ball - all made possible by the following generous donors: Anyway’s Pub, Grand Stand Pizza, The Great Escape, Perry’s Pizza Joynt, Lalo’s Mexican Restaurant and art department teacher Steve Lappe.
