Pickleball Tournament Planned For Elmhurst

ELMHURST, IL — Residents can start off the New Year by supporting a good cause and enjoying competition at the Pickleball Winter Mixer at the Elmhurst Park District's Courts Plus. The mixer is from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday.

The tournament will support the Ace Project, an after-school program in Riverdale and Dalton, organizers say. "Ace" stands for Active Children Excel; the program helps bring homework assistance, emotional training and sportsmanship learning to kids.

Participants are urged to RSVP to Anne Mache at annemache@gmail.com. Bring a check for $20 written out to the ACE Project the day of the event. Courts Plus is at 186 S. West Ave. in Elmhurst. Its phone number is 630-833-5064.
