That Project At Bryan Middle? Here's What's Happening
The school district said what it is doing on the land that is now made up of mounds and large puddles.

ELMHURST, IL – Some are wondering about the construction project next to Bryan Middle School, at the northeast corner of Butterfield Road and Bryan Street.
The land once contained a gravel parking lot, which Elmhurst School District 205 officials considered an eyesore. It was used when the school needed extra parking, such as during special events.
Now, the land is made up of mounds and large puddles.

Last year, the district decided to add 30 paved parking spaces north of the gravel parking lot, which it has finished. It also planned to convert the gravel lot into green space, which is what is happening now.
The district has said it aims to remove the fence around the land in question.
