York High School Students Commit To College Sports

Fourteen headed to places such as Arizona, Kentucky and North Dakota.

ELMHURST, IL — Fourteen York Community High School student-athletes recently signed letters of intent or made commitments to take part in athletics at the college level next year, the school said in a news release.

The students are Matthew Buckley (golf at Rensselaer Polytech Institute), Richard Buehling (track at Boston University), Catherine Duhig (lacrosse at Arizona State University), Jay Jensen (swimming at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee), Emma Kern (cross country and track at Canisius College), Ethan Kern (cross country and track at University of Kentucky), Daniel Klysh (cross country and track at University of Iowa), Sydney Krueger (volleyball at Augustana College), Joshua LaBounty (golf at Northern Illinois University), Tyler Lawrence (baseball at Rockhurst University), Joshua Mathiasen (football at Olivet Nazarene University), Michael Moriarty (cross country and track at University of Missouri), Kol Rollins (soccer at Carnegie Mellon University) and Nathan Shockey (basketball at University of North Dakota).
