The fight started after someone made a derogatory comment about a well-known deceased member of a Chicago-based gang, according to statements to police from the mall’s security supervisor. The comment was about Shaquon Thomas, 20 - a Chicago rapper who was shot and killed in the city’s Uptown neighborhood in May. Thomas was known to rap about gun violence and gangs, the Review reports.
