• Parks Board backs two honorary street sign requests (evanstonnow.com) — Evanston's Parks Board has endorsed honorary street signs for Rabbi Dov Hillel Klein on Orrington Avenue and longtime educator Denise Martin on Greenwood Street, recognizing decades of service to the community. The recommendations now move to City Council, which will decide whether the tributes go up for a 10-year period.

• Big Fork Festival offers art, food and fun (evanstonnow.com) — Evanston's downtown streets are closed this weekend for the Evanston Art and Big Fork Festival, running again today from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. You'll find about 200 artists, live music, an expanded Kid Zone, and plenty of local food vendors stretching along Sherman Avenue and nearby streets.
