Tenants Sue Landlord Over Evanston Porch Collapse
The residents of the Darrow Avenue site claim the landlord failed to inform them of potential dangers.

A pair of tenants in the 1900 block of Darrow Avenue in Evanston - where a porch collapsed during a Memorial Day party injuring four - have sued their landlord over negligence, according to NBC-5-Chicago and other sources.
Tracy and Christopher Skaggs filed the suit, which seeks unspecified damages, in Cook County Circuit Court on Friday claiming Dr. C.R. Bradford, their landlord, failed to warn them about unsafe conditions on the porch and didn’t keep it in good repair and up to city code.
