21 Geneva Teachers Set for Retirement

A "drop-in" reception will be held from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. May 9 at Geneva Middle School South followed by a brief recognition ceremony from 4:30 to 4:45 p.m.

All are welcome to attend an open house honoring this year’s many retirees from Geneva School District 304.

Geneva School District’s 6th Annual Retirement Open House will be held Thursday, May 9, in the Geneva Middle School South cafeteria, 1415 Viking Drive.  A “drop-in” reception will be held from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. followed by a brief recognition ceremony from 4:30 to 4:45 p.m.

This year’s retirees are:

  • Brenda Bevans, Special Education Teacher at Harrison Street Elementary School
  • Scott Bevans, Science Teacher at Geneva High School
  • James Burger, Mathematics Teacher at Geneva High School
  • Rebecca Card, English Language Learning Teacher at Geneva High School
  • Kathleen Chroust, General Music Teacher at Heartland Elementary School
  • Stephen Downen, Custodian at Geneva High School
  • Dorothea Finatri, Language Arts Teacher at Geneva Middle School South
  • Mary Louise Gobel, Science Teacher at Geneva Middle School South
  • Marline Krug, Fourth Grade Teacher at Western Avenue Elementary School
  • Sharon Kryszak, Accounting Specialist at Central Office
  • Lucy Ledford, Third Grade Teacher at Mill Creek Elementary School
  • Catherine Lewis, Third Grade Teacher at Mill Creek Elementary School
  • Stephen Lowry, Custodian at Geneva High School
