Car Wash Helps Fund New Uniforms for Varsity Tennis

The Geneva tennis team holds a car wash to raise money for new uniforms and the proceeds push the total over the $1,000 goal.

Geneva High School juniors Carly Ausman and Emily Malecha (sunglasses) shouted, screamed, and waved to reel in cars for a car-wash fundraiser this weekend at Seventh and State streets. The Geneva varsity tennis team's goal of $1,000 was exceeded by donations from the car wash, meaning new uniforms and sweats for the 12 team members.

Parents got into the act as well; Don Tourte put some muscle into cleaning hubcaps.
