Elgin Man Arrested in Geneva for 5th DUI

Chris Caudill could face up to 15 years in prison on an aggravated DUI charge, according to media reports.

A 51-year-old Elgin man was arrested for his fifth DUI over the weekend in Geneva.

Chris Caudill, of the 2000 block of Valley Creek Drive in Elgin, was arrested at about 11:07 p.m. on Oct. 25 in the 0 to 99 block of Hamilton Street, according to the Daily Herald.

Caudill was spotted by a Geneva police officer driving erratically. He crossed the centerline several times and hit curbs before he was pulled over, the newspaper reports.

He remained in custody Tuesday at the Kane County Jail on a $200,000 bail. He has been arrested more than 40 times in Kane County since 1998 and one of his four prior DUI arrests occurred in North Aurora in 2005, the Daily Herald reports.
