Well-known as the host of WTTW’s restaurant review show, “Check Please!” Alpana Singh is also the youngest woman ever to hold the title of Master Sommelier. She belongs to an exclusive club of wine experts - there are only 180 Master Sommeliers worldwide, just 18 of whom are women.
Alpana’s Indian-American heritage, humble origins, and gender all make her unique in the world of wine. You’ll be inspired by the story of how she pursued her love of wine and defied the odds to reach the top of her profession.
Alpana appears regularly on “Chicago Tonight” for the "Ask Alpana" segment and is the author of “Alpana Pours: About Being a Woman, Loving Wine, and Having Great Relationships”. She also serves as the Director of Wine and Spirits for Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises.
