Michael Zema, Elgin Community College Culinary Department Professor Emeritus, is offering a cooking class Saturday, February 11th at 1 p.m. at St. Charles Episcopal Church, 994 N. 5th Avenue, (Route 25) in St. Charles. Demonstrated courses perfect for that special dinner include Pan Seared Scallops and Shrimp, Rack of Lamb with Minted Fruit Salsa, even a dramatic table side presentation of Bananas Foster. Reserve your spot by calling 630-584-2596 Monday - Friday 9 a.m.-12:00 p.m. The fee for the class is $30. The building and parking are handicapped accessible. There will be ample opportunities for food sampling.
