Geneva Community High School is hosting a Young Hearts For Life ECG Screening Event during the school day April 5, 2012. This free screening is sponsored by the Wetters Family and Midwest Heart Foundation.
Parents must register their children in advance online at www.midwestheart.org/young-hearts-for-life/registration-and-results or download the forms at www.geneva304.org/ghs and turn them into the GHS school office by Tuesday.
This free, non-invasive screening can help to detect potentially life threatening heart conditions such as Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM, the leading cause of death in young athletes), Long QT syndrome, Brugada syndrome, and ARVD.
