Geneva Man Charged Following Swat Incident

A Geneva man has been charged with disorderly conduct after police said he fired a handgun outside of his home Sept. 3.
Jacob S. Danmar, 66, of the 200 block of Syril Drive, was served with a complaint/notice to appear in court on Sept. 11 and has been charged with disorderly conduct.
Police were called to Danmar’s home at 10:37 a.m. on Sept. 3 after his wife said the man may be in danger after the two got into a verbal argument. She told police when she left the residence, Danmar had a gun in his possession, and she was fearful for his safety.

Danmar is accused of firing his gun outside his home before police arrived.
The Kane County SWAT team responded to the home. After 90 minutes at the residence, the SWAT team was able to bring Danmar safely into custody.

Danmar is expected in court on Oct. 21 at the Kane County Branch Court, 530 S. Randall Road, St. Charles.
