Geneva Named Among Nation's Top 100 in Supporting Foreign Exchange Students

Geneva High School is recognized for partnering with AFS for more than five decades.

Have you ever sponsored an AFS student or had one of your kids benefit from a trip to study overseas? If so, leave a comment in the field below and attach a photo of your exchange student.

And if you are one of those folks, you are not alone, by any means.

Genevans have participated in American Field Service exchanges every year for more than 50 years now, and since 1997 have hosted from four to six students each year.

Geneva Community High School was recognized by AFS at Monday night's School Board meeting as one of the Top 100 Schools in the Nation. GHS organizers Robbin Lang and Martha Scatterday, along with three of this year’s AFS students—Matteo Boi (Italy), Dasha Khodak (Ukraine), and Guillaume Rey (Switzerland)—presented the award to GHS Principal Tom Rogers and counseling and advising chair Mary Jane Johnson.
