Geneva Woman and Canadian Friend Accused of Plotting Mall Murder Spree Have Day In Court
Halifax prosecutors add more counts to murder conspiracy charges, Global News reports.

The Geneva woman charged with another alleged accomplice for a foiled Valentine’s Day shooting plot at a Canadian shopping mall made her first appearance in a Halifax courtroom on Tuesday.
Lindsay Souvannarath, 23, of Geneva, and her Canadian friend, Randall Shepherd, were both charged with conspiracy to commit to murder on Saturday the day after the two were arrested on Feb.13 at the Halifax Airport in Nova Scotia.

Both appeared in a Halifax courtroom Tuesday morning, where more charges were added, including conspiracy to commit arson, conspiracy to possess weapons for a purpose dangerous to the public peace and unlawfully conveying a threat through social media to cause bodily harm or death, Global News reported.
The maximum sentence for the offense is life in prison, Halifax prosecutor Shauna MacDonald said.

Souvannarath and Shepherd will appear again on March 6 in Halifax Provincial Court on to argue bail.
A third suspect, James Gamble, 19, of suburban Halifax, reportedly shot and killed himself when local police surrounded his parents’ home on Friday, Global News confirmed.
