Geneva Woman Appears in Canadian Court Amid Heavy Security in Mass-Murder Conspiracy

More information about the alleged Valentine's Day murder conspiracy could be made public in next hearing, set for April 10.

The Geneva woman who plotted to commit mass murder in Canada on Valentine’s Day appeared in court Friday. Lindsay Kanittha Souvannarath, 23, appeared in a Halifax courtroom Friday morning under heavy security.

Her co-conspirator, Randall Steven Shepherd, 20 also appeared in court. They are charged with conspiracy to commit murder, conspiracy to commit arson, conspiracy to use weapons for a dangerous purpose and unlawfully conveying threats through social media.

A third conspirator shot himself to death the night Souvannarath flew from Chicago to Halifax. Police say they planned to commit a mass murder at the Halifax Shopping Centre on Valentine’s Day.
