Nearby Communities Help St. Charles Firefighters Battle Blaze

No one was hurt, and a cat and dog also escaped the large house fire on Sandburg Road unharmed.

Fire officials are investigating the cause of a large house fire Monday along Sandburg Road in St. Charles, according to a Chicago Tribune report.

St. Charles firefighters and crews from nearby communities responded to a blaze at about 2:30 p.m. at 39W766 Carl Sandburg Road, the report stated. When crews arrived, they found flames going from the closed garage to the house, the report added.

No one was injured, and a dog and cat also escaped uninjured, the report stated. Crews had the blaze under control by 3 p.m. and left the scene an hour and a half later, the report added.
