One Airlifted, Two Others Injured in Weekend Crash in Batavia

It took firefighters 30 minutes to extricate the person who was airlifted following the crash, according to media reports.

One person was airlifted to the hospital after becoming trapped in their sports utility vehicle following a two-vehicle crash Saturday in Batavia, the Kane County Chronicle reports.

Two others were taken to Presence Mary Medical Center in Aurora for injuries that were considered to be non-life-threatening, according to the newspaper.

The crash between the SUV and a car occurred at 3:54 p.m. in the 1300 block of South River Street in Batavia. The conditions of those injured in the crash was not immediately available, according to the article.
