A groundbreaking music trio is coming to Geneva Oct. 23 for a series of high school clinics capped by a performance open to the public Wednesday, Oct. 23.
PROJECT is a passionate, high-energy chamber music ensemble comprised of three virtuosic composer/performers from Brooklyn, NY. Blending classical training with an eclectic taste in musical styles, PROJECT has made an impact on audiences of all ages. PROJECT is coming to Geneva on Wednesday, October 23, 2013, to give clinics to students and an evening concert that is open to the public! The schedule is as follows:
WEDNESDAY, OCT. 23
- 8:35 – 9:30 a.m. Clinics will be held at Geneva High School during 2nd of the period for members of the Wind Symphony and Chamber Orchestra. Symphonic Band and Concert Orchestra members will have the choice of either attending this clinic or the one that follows during periods 6-7 (as an in-school field trip):
- 11:30 a.m. – 12:25 p.m. Clinics will be held at Geneva High School during periods 6-7 for members of he Concert Band and Symphony Orchestra.
- 1:53 – 2:37 p.m. Clinics will be held at Geneva Middle School North for the eighth grade band and orchestra students (students from GMSS will be escorted over to Geneva Middle School North for this clinic.
- 7 p.m. PROJECT will present an evening concert in the GHS auditorium (open to the public)! The concert will last approximately 60 to 70 minutes with no intermission.
Who Can Attend the PROJECT concert?
Anyone. Organizers especially recommend the event for middle school and high school instrumental students and their parents.
To attend this event, pre-order your tickets by filling out the attached form and returning it with payment to your school director. On the evening of the concert, your ticket(s) will be waiting for you at the door to the GHS Auditorium in an envelope with your name on it. Seating is general admission (no reserved seating).
Space is limited and there are no plans to sell tickets “at the door” at this time, so please order early! Tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis only!
